Dianna began her career supporting children with developmental delays and working in education. Inspired by her career in children development she felt there was more she wanted to do to support the children. Dianna completes a Masters in Early Childhood Mental Health with emphasis on becoming a LPCC. She has since been able to support young children, teens and their families. She provides play therapy, parent-child attachment in these cases to utilize more expressive outlets, as she feels this is the most beneficial way for children.
Her expertise in the mental health of children has led her into developing a proficiency supporting women and families experiencing permpartum mood disorders. The permpartum period can impact the family as a whole while they navigate the adjustments, challenges, and barriers that may arise on the journey through parenthood. Influenced by her own parenthood journey the care she provides is focused on offering resources and support. She hopes to provide compassion and effective tools to support families, individuals, and couples seeking additional aid.
Additionally, she has experience helping patients who struggle with anxiety, depression and ADHD. She has been able to help them using a variety of therapeutic approaches including but is not limited to providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, Solution Focused, Strength Based and Self Compassion approaches.

Jovita is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP -BC) with one and half years of experience providing care to a diverse population of individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Over the years in the fields of nursing and psychiatry, Jovita acquired certifications, knowledge, and professional experience providing care to patients across the lifespan. Her expertise as PMHNP has offered her the opportunity to treat and build connections with mentally ill patients irrespective of their socioeconomic background, their family members, and the healthcare team. Jovita has also worked for the Los Angeles County Department of Healthcare Services for fourteen years, providing nursing care for a diverse patient population with various health conditions.
Jovita is a detail-oriented team player who is dependable, self-motivated, and a great multitasker. Her strengths include diagnosing mental health disorders, managing patients' cases, interpreting diagnostic test results, treating substance use disorders, and medication management. Jovita enjoys reading and gardening.
