Green Graphic
Ijendu Korie

Ever since residency, Dr. Korie has aspired to open a practice that goes beyond the typical standard of care. She envisioned a space where personalized attention, whole-body examination, and genuine compassion are provided to every single patient. With this goal in mind, Dr. Korie established Soul Klinic, where she currently serves as the Medical Director and Attending Psychiatrist.

Dr. Korie is also an Attending and Consulting Psychiatrist at Henry Mayo Hospital in Newhall, CA. In her effort to address the stigma associated with mental health conditions, she relentlessly uses every opportunity to provide education within the hospital and broader community through seminars, lectures, and presentations.

Dr. Korie’s passion for medical research is profound. During her residency training, she served as Chief of Research, Academics, and Medical Student Education, where she revolutionized the academic research culture at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) in East Meadow, New York—leaving an indelible footprint through projects, abstracts, conference presentations, and journal publications.

She continues to engage in research as the Chief Research Officer of the Global Medical Research Institute (GMRI). Her research interests include ADHD, Substance Use Disorders, Nutritional Psychiatry, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and the Psychosocial Impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
